Summer Worship Schedule is Now in Effect

• * Starting Sunday, May 27 (Memorial Day weekend), our summer worship schedule is in effect.
• * During the summer, traditional family worship takes place at 9 a.m. each Sunday (and the contemporary worship service continues at 5 p.m. each Saturday).
• * God Zone (Christian Education for children) and pastor-led Bible study (for adults) are on hiatus during the summer months and resume in the fall.

Collect "Change for CE" Over the Summer

• * Water bottles were recently distributed for this year's "Change for CE" campaign.
• * After you’ve enjoyed the water, place the empty bottle in your car and use it to store any loose change you collect throughout the summer (from drive-thru trips, etc.).
• * The change-filled bottles will be collected on Rally Day weekend (September 8/9).
• * Didn't get a bottle yet? IT’S NOT TOO LATE! Extra “Change for CE” bottles are available beneath the benches in the church narthex … help yourself!
• * All proceeds from the "Change for CE" campaign will be used to enhance the Christian Education program.

Sky VBS: Where Everything Is Possible with God!

2012 Vacation Bible School

• * Sky VBS will take place July 23 through July 27, from 9 a.m. until
  12 p.m. (noon) each day.
• * Registration forms are now available (for participants and volunteers). Ages 3 (must be potty trained) through 10 may particate, and those 11 years and older are welcome to volunteer.

Youth Mission Trip to The Henderson Settlement

• * As a reminder, the youth are heading to The Henderson Settlement in Frakes, KY from June 10 – 17, 2012. We will be repairing homes and buildings to serve the working poor families of the area.

Outdoor Worship and Church Picnic

• * Save the date! Plan to join us at Paulus Park on Sunday, July 29 for outdoor worship (at 10 a.m.), followed by a church picnic.
• * NOTE: There will not be a worship service on Saturday, July 28.

Congratulations to Pastor Emily Mitchell!

• * St. Peter United Church of Christ congratulates Pastor Emily Mitchell, Associate Minister of Christian Education, on being recently ordained.
• * Pastor Steve Boorsma and several members of the congregation attended the January 29th ordination ceremony to join in the celebration.

• * Pastor Emily's Service of Installation took place at St. Peter United Church of Christ on Sunday, February 12, 2012.
